The Grass Range Public School system serves grades K -12 and is entirely contained within one building. It is a very personal environment and everyone knows everyone from the Kindergartners to the seniors.
Within the High School and Junior High School advanced math and science are both offered alongside the core classes as well as other electivies which vary from year to year but always include business and upper-level computer classes. One of the computer classes is our desktop publishing class which produces the newsletter each month and an annual every year. Sometimes also included in our electives are art, drama, and music.
Grass Range High School has also recently started offering online classes with Miles City Community College. Through this program students can take their foreign language class as well as advanced placement and other college preparation classes that can be translated into college credit.
Lastly, Grass Range offers a variety of vocational classes for junior high and high school students in the Family and Consumer Sciences and Industrial Arts programs.

Grass Range School offers Basketball, Football, Volleyball and Track and Field for high school students. Basketball and Track and Field are Co-Opt with Winnett High School which is 23 miles from Grass Range and Football and Volleyball are co-opt with both Winnett and Roy High Schools. Roy is 26 miles from Grass Range The practices and games are shared between the schools with a unified coaching staff and one set of uniforms.
There is also Basketball and Track and Field for Junior High School students. Track and Field athletes practice with the high school team and go to seperate junior high meets. Basketball athletes have a 6 week season for girls and a 6 week season for boys with co-opts depending on the number of students who wish to participate.

In addition to sports, Grass Range High School offers FCCLA, Student Council, MASC, the Math Contest, HOBY, Girls State, and Boys State. Also, the school, together with the PTO offers swimming lessons during the summer for anyone who wishes to participate.
